MeltDown® Apex™

High-performance anti-icer

MeltDown® Apex™, a liquid anti-icing and deicing product, delivers unmatched melting performance at low temperatures. MeltDown® Apex™ delivers a 12-degree Fahrenheit improvement in freeze point when compared to other liquid deicers. No other liquid deicer can make this claim.

MeltDown® Apex™ is a magnesium chloride brine. However, it is vastly different from other brines because additives are not included to dilute the formulation. Essentially, it is magnesium chloride improved.

When used as an anti-icer, MeltDown® Apex™'s enhanced melting capacity means longer times between route cycles. For deicing, when applied in a stream, MeltDown® Apex™ quickly penetrates the snow pack and breaks the bond at the road surface for easier snow removal. And, as a pre-wetting agent for salt and sand, MeltDown® Apex™ reduces bounce and scatter and increases the speed at which salt begins working.
